A Warm, Environmentally Responsible Building
Mariposa Veterinary Wellness Center is the result of many years of planning and a commitment to bring integrated veterinary medicine to families in a warm and inviting setting. Our building was constructed using straw bale design with passive solar orientation and natural lighting throughout. Full-spectrum compact fluorescent lighting supports energy conservation and the well-being of pets and people alike. Learn more about our green building’s unique style.
Non-toxic paints and surfaces were used whenever possible to prevent off-gassing and “sick building syndrome.” Recycling bins are provided for paper, plastic and glass, and our medical records are paperless. Our landscaping features native plants and rain gardens that conserve water and attract local birds and butterflies.

Inside, our hospital supports a full range of conventional and integrative care, including:
- Digital radiography, which eliminates processing chemicals and silver recycling, and abdominal ultrasound through our diagnostic services
- An in-house laboratory supported by IDEXX
- A dedicated, aseptic suite for surgery
- Equipment for dentistry and digital dental radiographs
- A Class IV therapeutic laser for laser therapy
- Space for acupuncture and other alternative therapies
