What Kind of Laser Do We Use?

Therapeutic laser use has gained wide acceptance in veterinary medicine in recent years, and a major milestone came in February 2007 when the technology received FDA clearance. According to Brian Pryor, Ph.D., president of LiteCure, Class IV lasers are about 50 times stronger than earlier Class III lasers, allowing better tissue penetration in less time.
How Does the Companion Therapy Laser Work?
The deep-penetrating light produced by the laser increases the respiratory and metabolic rates of unhealthy cells, re-energizing them so they can play an optimal role in helping the body heal itself. The laser primarily affects the unhealthy cells that need this support.
